Is the End of 3.2??

Hi All, i didnt play for a while and now, i saw that the most of old players are playing 3.5v. Do you think is the end of 3.2v?? i see only lion playing. we are the last of moicans. I think 3.2v is the best version of T.O and i dont want to change, what we have to do to bring the old players back and keep 3.2 alive?

Hmm... good idea. But I think still have enought players in 3.2. Everyone free for own choice. I chose 3.2 Wink

, i was seeing 2.2 has more servers then 3.2, should we make a server?? A server with passwords and good tost to keep cheaters off..
well only ideas.. what do u think about it?

I wanna make server but my connectin not powerfull yet. I will update my connection next week. May be I can make monster server this time. I have good mutators will be fun Cool

Well i think we can start with this... i was trying to make a server but i have 2 problemas.. 1 i have a good connection(300kbps) in brazil but we have a loooooong distance between all of us, so bad connection for all(except me), and 2 i dont know how to let the server 24hs on-line.. i was trying to find some company to put but.. didnt find anyone Sad

i will install TO in the computer of my job.. very good connection there(1mb), but even there not 24hs on-line....

I really dont understand why cheaters "play" games. Only thing they do is ruining the game for others. What a fun. Find a real hobby. I don't play 3.2 anymore because of the many cheaters. Yes ofcourse, cheaters are everywhere, even in 3.5. But not as many as in 3.2. Im glad our clan has an own server, with good Tost, UTDC and always admins to kick or ban people. And like our server, there are many many clans in 3.5 who have good servers too.

I think 3.2 is dead now. At least for me it is. Somes you can play one map without (too much) cheaters, but it always ends the same way.

There are only a few nice players left on 3.2 who don't have 3.5 yet. I really advice to get 3.5, Yes the first weeks its very hard and you might hate it, but after a while it is so good. So many servers to choose from and so many new maps! I hated 3.5 first. After I got it I waited for more than half a year when I start playing it more. But now I really dont understand why I didnt change earlier to 3.5.

Since 3.2 is dieing out, can anyone tell me how I can get 3.5? Does upgrading to 3.5 mean that you have to have the retail version? If so, is there a way around this?

I bought the retailversion and then i used the 3.5 patch. But I hear from a lot other people that they downloaded a good working version of 3.5 somewhere.

I have looked to all the stores and even looked online to order but cannot find anyone who is still selling retail version. Confused

I would appreciate it if someone can lead me to a link that I can download 3.5. Thanks in advance.

i promise it is exacly what barb is saying once you pay 3.5 for a couple off weeks there is no going back we all know how addictive 3.2 is well 3.5 is even better trust me but forget about 3.5 in 2 more months croosfire is coming out the new tac oops game that is what everyone will be lpaying

Now, of course, I wish I had bought it -- at least so I could play both versions of the game if I wanted. :-/

I did find a place where you can download what is being referred to as a "retail version" of TacOps (from IG games I think?) online for US$20. But the site refused to give any technical details about the download such as the exact version number and compatibility. Mad

Even though I knew they're robbing from me (TWENTY bucks?!?!? EGAD!), I did finally decide to try and download a copy from them because my kids and I wanted to play online and there are precious few good 3.2 servers available to us. (I KNOW that if I just searched around long enough I could find a copy of the retail version for US$10 or so somewhere, but it would take a LOT of looking and I'd have to go to another town - a big city with lots of game stores!)

But when I tried to download the game, I came across a whole page of FAQs, legal disclaimers and what we often call "fine print" (the stuff they don't expect you to actually read before downloading Laughing

). In this section they clearly said -- more than once -- that their download version was NOT compatible with ANY other version and that patches and mods available elsewhere on the internet were NOT compatible with their version. Surprised

I thought that was very odd.

It's possible that this was just a broad, general statement referring to ALL their downloads and not to their TO:AoT download specifically. But I wasn't about to pay twenty bucks just to find out! Shocked

So in the end I decided not to buy the download from them. $20 is too much, especially when I'm not even 100% sure it would solve our "version mismatch" problems when trying to connect to the online servers. :-/

I'll try to find that link again (I'm pretty sure it was at IGN, but I'll check again to make sure) and when I find it I'll reply here again. Maybe you guys can help me decide if it's actually a genuine copy of the retail 3.4 version or not and if it will actually be upgradeable to 3.5 or not.

But for now, we're stuck with 3.2. And we like it -- LOVE it, actually! Is 3.4/3.5 better? I don't know. I can't argue because I've never tried it. But I do know it's very hard to find. But I also know it's hard to find good 3.2 servers for online gaming with good people. Thank God there are at least a few still around! It'll be a sad, sad day when the last 3.2 servers close down. Crying or Very sad
